In these uneasy days, when there are many challenges, difficulties, and conflicts, we are all united by Christ, Who Gives Eternal Life and Who Is the Source of all Good. Therefore, we will no longer rely on our own strength but on God’s help and will continue to pray. We will continue to carry our cross, pray, and help each other.

Dear Brothers and Sisters! In relation with the ongoing pandemic, we received a notification from civil authorities on how we can conduct church services to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Unfortunately, you will not be able to attend church services, but we will continue to livestream them on YouTube. Participants who want to take confession and receive the Holy Mysteries must do so in advance by consulting with clergy. In the Google Drive, where the current church service attendance list is located, there will also be a list of people participating in the sacraments at the end of liturgy. Please be aware, this protocol also applies to all other church sacraments and needs. We call God’s blessings upon all of you!
Our dear parishioners of the church of St. Tikhon Zadonsky!
We are glad to see you all again in church! Congratulations to everyone who was able to attend liturgy
on Holy Ascension and took Holy Communion.
We need to remind you that social distancing must be implemented during services between
parishioners as prescribed by the state.
Family members are not affected by this rule.
Everyone needs to wear a mask during the service.
For anyone who wants to participate in the sacraments, please come to confession on the eve of the
liturgy, at the All-Night Vigil, or during the reading of The Hours. You can also make arrangements to
confess by telephone.
It is mandatory that you sign up for services online.
Our small church is not designed for a large number of parishioners. Therefore, during Sundays and
holidays, preferences will be given to those who registered online for the service in advance. Father
Anatoly is in charge of the registration list. During the epidemic, church attendance must be monitored
according to the registration list.
Please be aware, if we exceed the allocated number of people allowed in our church, we will be forced
to refuse parishioners to attend church services.
We want all of you to have the same opportunity to attend services. Unfortunately, at this time, we
cannot violate temporary pandemic rules.
At present, when some areas of California and the city of San Francisco are transitioning from
quarantine, we ask you to adhere to the rules that have been previously established for our church.
Services will be live-streamed as per usual.
May the blessing of God be with you all!
